Want a math tutorial on how to read a ruler or how to define trigonometry? Need help learning how to study for math? Like to get your hands on some games and try out Fun Brain? Want to know how math is used by artists, carpenters, electricians, and engineers? All this and more can be found on this directory, in addition to a directory to OTHER math directories! Most of the resources listed on this easy to navigate, clean-looking directory are written for K-12 students in mind, with some further resources for the adults in their lives.
This directory has lots of resources for students and teachers. While teachers can access lesson plans and can contact other math-like beings, students have access to even more! On the piles of software sites students can play games, explore ideas, graph equations, and make math art. Students can research math concepts and search for math competitions. The resources are written for a huge audience, from Aunty Math for elementary students, to the African Mathematical Union for teachers and other math professionals.
This list has some good resources for students, mostly elementary and middle school, but there's something for everyone here. Most of the resources are dedicated to teachers and schools, but students can also download games and other activities. One of the best links is to Uncle Math, where you can practice most of the elementary math concepts and a few beyond.
This directory, true to its word, is targeted for a Middle and High School student audience. Upper middle schoolers will probably be more comfortable with these resources than Grade 6 or 7 students. You can choose your focus by math sub-topics, like Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry. There are several games and sites for math help, though many of these are lesson plans and other teacher resources. One of the best resources for students here is Ask Dr. Math, a forum for asking math questions.
