The Democracy Project is a project on PBS.org that helps students visualize their town's goverment as an important part of their lives. It's a great way to provide cross-curricular lessons.
Finding the Story in teh Song is a lesson via PBS.org that encourages students to examine the lyrics of the song, "Barbara Allen" and discover the story behind it.
In Search of Shakespeare is a webquest offered via PBS.org that has students search the internet to find their own image of the character Othello.
Performance First is a lesson that requires students to examine The Tempest both in text and electronically to best determine how the play should be performed.
Culture Shock is a lesson that requres students to examine Huck Finn and its place in society today.
Poetry: Blues Style has students examine the blues and how they operate as poetry.
The Art of Communication: Women's Plight to Be Heard is a webquest for students to research women artists and writers and the troubles they faced.
Fan Letter is a webquest where students learn from writing fan letters.
Do You Believe in Lake Monsters is a webquest that has students research lake monsters and draw conclusions based on their research.
A Vision is a project for teens to express themselves via creative writing and to emphasize morals.
Action! Animating Voices for Change is a project where students collaboratively learn to make a difference in their communities.
"Against School Dropout" allows students to realize the importance of school and their aim in it. Essays, pictures, and drawings all are used in this process.
