A Just Australia is co-ordinated by national campaign umbrella group, Australians for Just Refugee Programs Inc. Launched in July 2002, A Just Australia brings together over 11,500 individual supporters, 120 non-government organisations and over 70 prominent Australian Patrons. The core mission of A Just Australia is to campaign for changes to government policy on refugees and asylum seekers.

Children Out Of Detention (ChilOut) is a group of parents and citizens opposed to the mandatory detention of children in Australian immigration detention centres. They argue that Australia’s treatment of asylum seekers breaches several human rights treaties to which we are a signatory, in particular the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
