Gary Patton's List: Relationship Issues

  • Aug 20, 13

"Christian: S.P.i.N., not traditional, evangelism is the ONLY approach that works, long-term, when sharing Jesus' "Good News"!" ~ © gfp '42™

Neil Rackham in his book entitled "SPIN Selling" discovered after extensive research that quick, transactional selling works well when marketing small consumer goods and services.

However, his research proves that big-ticket items require multiple-meeting, relational selling because rapid transactional selling fails to work effectively for big-ticket items.

Can you think of any "bigger ticket item" than the destiny of one's eternal soul and how people can achieve, but NEVER earn, salvation from the wrath of God which we all deserve because His holiness is repelled by our sin nature and sins?

Try SPiN, not traditionally-taught, Evangelism approaches.

When you do, watch how much better your co-workers, neighbours, and relatives respond to the life-giving "Good News" you share about Jesus and what He's doing in your life.

Christian: "Trials Are For Joy ...Not Fun"

James 1:2-8 says trials are allowed by God in our lives to be joy-creating ...not fun... because of what they help us to learn for the future when we're wise.

        What I Suggest
James 1:2-8, of the New Covenant portion of the Christian Bible, says what God allows to come our way in our lives is to be joy-creating ...not necessarily fun... because of what they help us to learn for the future ... when we're wiser.

    • God our Savior, (B)who desires all men to be (C)saved
      • This verse prompts a question which is at the heart of the sometimes acrimonious and unChristlike debate between Calvinists vs. Universalists. The debate revolves around the question of whether only a few vs. everyone will be saved.

That question is: "Does an omnipotent God, who is both perfectly Holy and just plus perfect love, get what He wants?

That question leads to another: "Where in the Bible does God say He will NOT do other than what individuals choose ...despite our much talked about human "free will choice"?

"God Is ONLY Loving ...The Who, Why & What of Abundant & Eternal Life with God in Jesus"

In 1 John 4:15-17, the passage below, Jesus' Apostle (sent-out-one) John, one of Jesus' first Followers, outlines "the who", "the why" and "the what" of abundant and eternal life.

As the highlights below on key sections of this passage confirm, the Bible clearly states that confessing Jesus' (Yeshua's) "Divinity in the flesh" is the ONLY way to God. Jesus says so, bluntly, Himself in John 14:6 at http://diigo.com/0qe5p. That's the 'Who'.

These verses also clearly state the 'why', i.e., "God IS love!" as noted in Verse 16 below.

Finally, they explain the 'what', i.e., God comes to live His life out through Jesus Followers to remove the uncertainty of the consequences of our sin nature and sins as it says in Galatians 2:20 at http://diigo.com/0jggi .

What it doesn't say here or ANYWHERE in the Bible, that anyone has found to my knowledge, is the 'how', the 'where' or the 'when' because God delivers his grace in many ways as it says in Ephesians 2:8-10 at http://diigo.com/0n20e .
