• Keep it going. Staying safe isn’t a one-time thing—technology  evolves, and so will the needs of your family. Make sure you keep up an ongoing  dialogue. Re-establish your family’s ground rules, check in on everyone’s  progress, and set aside time to talk at regular intervals.

• So you head to the manufacturer’s website and right-click that image and save it to upload to your site. A photo will not substitute for the actual product, so the owner’s rights should be very minimally affected. Therefore, your right to use the copyrighted image would likely be permitted under fair use.*

• When it comes to photos, when in doubt, assume it’s subject to copyright and don’t use it without the appropriate permission. What it comes down to is that if you need to use another person’s image, make sure it fits clearly into one of the protected purposes or seek legal counsel if there is a significant investment of money or time in your project.

• • Equality of technology in the classroom is a growing process. Can't be guaranteed..
• Equality of access can be measured in two ways - having the technology itself within the organisation and ensuring that where the technology is available it is actually used to best advantage.

• • These games are brilliant ways to teach kids online safety!!
• This cool online game teaches kids all about the rules of web safety and digital citizenship. Taking on the role of ‘webonauts’, children have to complete a series of missions in order to graduate from the Webonauts Internet Academy. The lessons follow the motto – Observe, Respect, and Contribute. Right from picking up a uniform to the planetary excursions, the online game is interactive but it requires a fair bit of patience. The game teaches child must-dos like keeping passwords secure or how to build web profiles. The PBS Kids website is a must stop for both children and also parents as educators.
• The game is courtesy AT&T. It’s all about battling a villain who is spamming people with messages. The goal is to rid the town of this evil character and make it safe again. As Captain Broadband, you can seek out the villain from a few locations around town, answer a few quiz questions, garner points, and banish the bad guy forever. If you succeed, you become a certifiable hero. Press play.
• This is a case of the classic Hangman game reincarnated as an internet safety educational game. The game follow the same rules, except now the clues all relate to cyber rules you should remember rand follow. You have to guess the answers to the questions and feed it in to complete the game.
• The Kids.com Jr. internet safety game for kids is a series of questions on net etiquette for kids. The questions are like an instructional quiz that serves to teach the main points on internet safety.
• This game is a limited version game of the actual one but the game play is enough to educate someone about phishing on the internet. It is also a game that’s meant for older kids and even adults. As Phil, a young fish living in the bay, you have to earn points by eating the good worms (good URLs) and refusing the bad worms (phishing URLs). Your mentor is the PhishGuru who helps you identify the good from the bad. It’s a cool site that can help anyone avoid online phishing scams. The actual full game has four rounds while this limited version has only one, but it gives you a general idea on phishing scams.

• The article discusses what school districts can do to ensure students' online safety. Some schools use the curricula to teach lessons on Internet safety and security measures. It is noted that teachers may need more training to feel confident to teach Internet safety and a survey of teachers found that many felt their districts needed to do more to promote Internet safety teaching. Web 2.0 tools, it is noted, could be used to keep children safe.

• Digital Access:   full electronic participation in society.
   Technology users need to be aware that not everyone has the same opportunities when it comes to technology.  Working toward equal digital rights and supporting electronic access is the starting point of Digital Citizenship. Digital exclusion makes it difficult to grow as a society increasingly using these tools. Helping to provide and expand access to technology should be goal of all digital citizens.  Users need to keep in mind that there are some that may have limited access, so other resources may need to be provided.  To become productive citizens, we need to be committed to make sure that no one is denied digital access.
  
• • This is a very good point. If technology is not accessible for all students then it won't expand and benefit all...
• Digital Commerce:   electronic buying and selling of goods.
   Technology users need to understand that a large share of market economy is being done electronically. Legitimate and legal exchanges are occurring, but the buyer or seller needs to be aware of the issues associated with it. The mainstream availability of Internet purchases of toys, clothing, cars, food, etc. has become commonplace to many users. At the same time, an equal amount of goods and services which are in conflict with the laws or morals of some countries are surfacing (which might include activities such as illegal downloading, pornography, and gambling). Users need to learn about how to be effective consumers in a new digital economy. 
  
• • There is a big difference between purchasing and downloading a new song.. People need to be aware of the consequences and what is legal.
• Digital Communication:   electronic exchange of information.
   One of the significant changes within the digital revolution is a person’s ability to communicate with other people. In the 19th century, forms of communication were limited. In the 21st century, communication options have exploded to offer a wide variety of choices (e.g., e-mail, cellular phones, instant messaging).  The expanding digital communication options have changed everything because people are able to keep in constant communication with anyone else. Now everyone has the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with anyone from anywhere and anytime. Unfortunately, many users have not been taught how to make appropriate decisions when faced with so many different digital communication options.
