It's a shame to see these kinds of beliefs about technology perpetuated through the education system. They are not really "learning with technology" they are merely learning technology.
BARRIE - A drive along Ferndale these days is an ugly, ugly sight.
It is disheartening, upsetting, disturbing and sad. The 244 Manhattan Homes condo project by Pratt was the beginning. An article by Janis Ramsay published in the Thursday, March 24 issue of the Barrie Advance briefly, and quite lightly states, "It's being built in a provincially significant wetland and was initially opposed by residents because of its impact on nature".
Bolivia is set to pass the world's first laws granting all nature equal rights to humans. The Law of Mother Earth, now agreed by politicians and grassroots social groups, redefines the country's rich mineral deposits as "blessings" and is expected to lead to radical new conservation and social measures to reduce pollution and control industry.
Bolivia is poised to pass a law that would grant nature equal rights with those afforded humans. The Law of Mother Earth is expected to usher in a radical new conservation policy against pollution and exploitation.

Rights of Mother Earth
Proposal Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth
Preamble
“If we want to safeguard mankind, then we need to safeguard the planet,” he said, stressing that social movements, regular citizens and presidents the world over needed to understand and support the rights of Mother Earth. “That is the next major task of the United Nations”.
Speaking at a Headquarters press conference this afternoon, he said previous centuries had witnessed a permanent ongoing battle for human rights. With those human rights now secured, it was time to fight for those of the planet, including the right to life, the right to regeneration of the planet’s biodiversity, the right to a clean life free of pollution, and the right to harmony and balance among and between all things.
“Mother Earth cannot be a piece of merchandise”, he argued, stressing that it was necessary to correct humanity’s historic mistake of buying and selling the planet. Human beings could not exist without Mother Earth, but changes in climate and the environment were already beginning to threaten that existence in some places. In the Andes, mountain peaks were losing their white snow-caps, lakes were drying up, and fish were disappearing from the Orinoco.
He proposed that all current Governments shape an alliance to save humankind by saving “Mother Earth”. The alliance’s first objective would be to guarantee human rights for everyone. Water and all basic services, such as energy and electricity, were human rights. He stressed that the rights of migrants had to be protected. He had heard that United States President Obama had rejected the immigration law in Arizona and some of his Administration’s policies must reflect that.

5. Re-defining "sanity" as if the whole world mattered
Around the world, as traditional peoples and societies have been absorbed into the global monoculture, the prevalence of diabetes has exploded. Since 2001, premature death from obesity has exceeded death from malnutrition. The milestone was reached at almost the same time as another: for the first time in history, the number of urbanites exceeds the number of rural dwellers. Canada is an example. For all its magnificent and extensive wilderness, 87 percent of the population lives in a community with at least ten thousand neighbours.
