For everyone who misses when all the classic rock, blues rock and metal was still an essential part of SPN as much as I do, this is a 2-disc mix of various music in the same vein as what you used to hear in the soundtrack in just about every episode.
This mix is entirely from Sam's point-of-view. It's about the journey he has taken since we first met the young man at Stanford. It's about death and loss and life. About his quest to understand himself, and then forgive himself. And about his ability to find hope when everyone around him has none. A mix about how Sam is the hero of this tale.
Side A is for Anna herself, with just as many echoes of her human life as of her angelic one. (There hasn't been much room to deal with anything other than the angel half on the show since Anna Got Her Groove Back, but in my head her humanity is every bit as potent as her divinity and getting her Grace back hasn't changed that, which is why you get songs like Terra Naomi's "Flesh for Bones", directed at her parents.) Side B is a mix of songs for Anna/Castiel and Anna/Dean.
Spoilers: Through episode 5x04; "The End"
Characters/Pairing: Dean and Castiel

Erik Lehnsherr is defined by two passions ruling his life: hatred towards Shaw, Nazis and humans (anyone responsible the suffering and injustice he was subjected to) and love for Charles (the one responsible for the fleeting happiness he experienced).
This is not a mix about Nazi-hunting.
