The People's Pharmacy says it's not possible.

  • Jun 18, 13

The author of The Peoples Pharmacy has a Masters in Pharmacology which gives him Credibility toward the information about the topic.

    • Here's how they got started. Joe Graedon received his BS from Pennsylvania State University in 1967 and then did research on mental illness, sleep, and basic brain physiology at the New Jersey Neuropsychiatric Institute in Princeton. In 1971 he earned his MS in pharmacology from the University of Michigan.
    • In 1972 in a small village in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, Terry was doing research in nutrition and health for her doctoral dissertation in anthropology. Joe began writing a book to explain medications in an easy-to-understand, friendly style. His master's degree in pharmacology from the University of Michigan and his teaching experience with medical students prepared him for this undertaking.

Not reliable or credible but another negative to the myth.

    • "You can get high mixing Coke and Aspirin"
This is pure fiction. Also mixing Coke with any kind of antibiotics can't get you high, unfortunately :)

Another unreliable source but also shows negative results toward the topic. The caffeine in Coca Cola could possibly boost Aspirins pain-relieving actions..

  • Jun 18, 13

Study about caffeine and aspirin shows that aspirin and caffeine is more effective than aspirin alone for pain-relief.. Does this help me? Is the caffeine going to enhance the pain-relieving actions of Aspirin enough to cause any kind of "high" or intoxication?

Website for medicine questions and answers agrees that the caffeine in Coke can produce minor stimulation but no euphoric or intoxicating effects.
    Another Negative toward the myth.

    • You may achieve some stimulation from the caffeine in the Coca-Cola, and that's more or less it. While caffeine potentiates the effect of aspirin (making the aspirin work better), it's not going to produce any euphoric effects.

Too much of the two in combination might produce bleeding in the stomach.

Cola and acetaminophen/paracetamol would be duplicate: caffeine in the cola, but no euphoria. Taking an overdose of the medication might bring liver damage
      • Does not seem Credible. It is dedicated to medical Q&A but there is no authors name or any information about who is creating these answers.

  • Jun 18, 13

No Credibility but the common consensus is that it won't do anything but harm your organs or help with a headache.
