Stargate/Buffy
Fantastically well thought out series. There is a third part in progress which mixes in star trek, but I prefer to believe it doesn't exit. These two are a self enclosed story though. The third is unnecessary and doesn't add much to the brilliant series.
Buffy did not survive her confrontation with the First. Fortunately, Buffy has never been one to let death stand in her way...
Buffy wants another shot at the First. Not everyone thinks this is a good idea. Especially since the First knows she's coming.

West Wing
The following are all stories in the 'Further to Fly' series. It captured the characters so well, they all deserved to be on the list, although to keep it fair I would classify them as one entity.
Sherlock chases a serial murderer. VERY good
Complete! Spoilers for "Changes," ignores GS. Harry Dresden returns to life, lands in the Nevernever, meets Buffy Summers, Xander and Dawn, who help him return to Chicago, then with his hunt for his killer. Ignores S-8 comics after "Time of Your Life." Pretty much the best fanfiction I've ever read. COMPLETELY captures the characters and writing style of Jim Butcher.

I have combed the internet for years looking for the absolute best fanfiction in all categories. The stuff I keep coming back to. This is that list. The fanfiction I would recommend to anyone familiar with the particular universe. All items in this list must be complete.
