The bottom line though: what's there is choice. Lauded by innumerable academic institutions, and imitators (including "Literary Resources on the Net").

"The purpose of Women's Studies in Digital Archives is to provide access to primary source materials for women's studies within digital archives. Although not comprehensive, it is a starting point for discovering some of the wonderful resources for women's studies that have only recently become widely available with the practice of digitizing select primary source materials from special collections.
Each archive . . . has been reviewed by a member of the Women's Studies Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Reviews include a brief description of the archive, tips for searching, and a description of the women's studies content, including a list of subjects and a list of primary source types. One can go to the archive either from this page or from within the review."

If your parents do have a subscription, then you can register online at the NY Times website. This will allow you to access the incredible archive of articles, which dates back to 1851.
