Bakhishov said he called to visit the Baku city Head Education Department and Department Chief Naila Rzaguliyeva warned him that he should stop appearing on TV channels, publishing articles on low-quality military training in schools and unfit textbooks on military training. Bakhishov was asked to present the documental base he has to the Head Education Department, in particular proposals and remarks about upgrading the military training textbook called now for unknown reasons as the textbook on youth undergoing pre-conscription military training.

According to unofficial data, about 500,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Georgia, especially in Kvemo-Kartli (Borchali) region. A total of 124 Azerbaijani schools function in the Georgian regions, where Azerbaijanis compactly settled and 35,000 pupils study at the schools.

Education Ministry of Azerbaijan will not provide secondary schools with free textbook additions. “Writing-books destined for several textbooks must be bought by parents of pupils. Education Ministry will only provide textbooks for pupils, and additional manuals on each subject for teachers,” Faig Shahbazli, Chief of Textbook and Publication Department of Education Ministry, told Trend News on 13 September.
