This was one of the original social networking sites, intended to be used for dating... began to be used for music and general social stuff until the crowd started to move towards MySpace
lots of easy customization tools also make it easy to make pretty hideous designs
ok, this is obviously not something people would actually use... but still hilarious
not every custom layout is ugly - many can be pretty simple
I couldn't get to the oldest versions, but this shows 6.5million instead of the 40+million they advertise now
