• Starwin Resort. Cheap resort with nice gardens, 200 meters from the sea. Fan huts up to 250 baht per night (low season).  edit
• Where Else Resort, 149 Moo 2, ☎ +66 75 667 024 (fax: +66 75 667 024), [30]. Funky, chilled out bamboo eco tourism village surrounded by old coconut palm trees. Each bungalow is unique. Fan bungalows from 500 baht.
• Bee Bee's, Moo 2, Saladan, Koh Lanta (next door to Lanta Pavilion). Very basic fan bungalows, no hot water or sinks, but set in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. A good amount of books to borrow while relaxing in the beach lounge area, complete with hammocks and little treehuts. Fairly priced attached restaurant. Very chilled staff, show up and stay as long as you'd like. Fan bungalows from 350 baht.
• Charlee BARleys, ☎ coming soon (martin@charleebarley.com), [33]. The Center of Klong Nin Beach. Relaxed environment wood-style back-packer bungalows from 250 baht up to 350 baht with own bathroom (Fan Rooms) Situated on the best part of the beach, with no rocks, 24 hour swimming.  
• Sun Moon Bungalow, Klong Jaak. The quieter option at the south end of the island. Basic but clean bungalows in a peaceful garden setting. Beautiful quiet beach in front. Fabulous home cooking. Family owned and run. Approx 500baht per night (high season). Recommended for couples.

• These are pictures from my stay on Ko Lanta island in 2007 which is on the West side of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Most tourists end up in Phuket and backpackers end up in Ko Phi Phi. Ko Lanta is a large island which is near both but is way more chilled out without the crazy crowds or extreme prices.
