Introduction:
The introductory paragraph of your

your paper will discuss.
Develop a thesis statement for the introduction
that captures the main focus of your informational paper in a single
sentence.
Body Paragraphs:
The body paragraphs should cover
at least
the following:
historical background; relevant laws or
policies; groups or parties involved and their perspectives and interests; and
controversies and debates (what do people disagree about and why do they
disagree?).
Additional information can include statistics, current news
stories related to your topic, organizations and programs, etc.
Conclusion:
Your concluding paragraph should indicate how you
intend to narrow your topic further, that is, what aspect of the topic you will
continue to research.
The conclusion should also list two information
questions that you weren’t able to answer in the Background Essay or that were
raised as a result of the essay and at least three research questions you may
pursue further.
