Lingro is a tool to use with documents in other languages. Start by finding a document in the target language (i.e., French for students who are learning French). Copy the URL and paste it into the Lingro tool bar. Select the target language (e.g. French) and the language of the reader (e.g. English, Spanish). Click on the arrow. Lingro takes you to the URL you have selected. When the reader needs help with a word on the page, he/she clicks on the word, and a pop up helper comes up with a dictionary in the reader's language to help with the word in context. The reader can generate a vocabulary list for further study. The reader can also contribute to the dictionary with other synonyms, phrases, examples... A super tool for World Language and EL teachers/students.
