Pirate TV is produced by Hannibal High School's Applied Communications class. Students choose their own stories, contact the people they wish to interview, film, and edit their pieces and submit them for each bi-weekly episode of Pirate TV. The applied communications class is taught by Ben Meyer and is more than just the creation of the bi-weekly installments of Pirate TV. HHS's applied communications students can be found at school sporting activities, band and choir concerts, Hannibal City Council meetings, and other local events. Any HHS junior or senior may apply to enroll in applied communications and is encouraged to do so if they have an interest in any part of the television broadcasting or film fields.
