Redirect is a Joomla 1.5 port of the new Redirect component that comes with Joomla 1.6.
Redirect allows you to detect when Joomla cannot find a page (typically called a 404 error) and then allows you to redirect those pages elsewhere to avoid the error. This helps to avoid penalties search engines apply to your page ranks due to excessive errors.
Redirect can be a valuable tool when you are reorganising the menu for your Joomla web site, or you are changing settings (like turning SEF on after going live) or for site migrations to Joomla when you need to refer old URL's to new ones.

By default, Clean Response alters the X-Content-Encoded-By header from "Joomla! 1.5" to "PHP", although the actual header value can be configured in the plugin.
There may be occasions where you would like to change the way a Joomla! Extension (such as a Component or Module, whether from the Joomla! core or produced by a third party) is displayed on your site. Of course, you could recode the Extension from scratch, but that may be a bit ambitious for you! Thankfully, there is another way.
The standard output from any Joomla! Module or Component can be overridden by adding code to the html directory of your template. It is also possible to override two aspects of core functionality: Module chrome, and pagination.
If images in detail view or the original images in pop ups aren't displayed this will be mostly caused by one or more certain system plugins.
