    The Rajasthan Police could not get their hands on Shahabuddin from ward 16, on Sunday as well. He is accused of harassing women during the victory procession. The workers of Shiv Sena held a protest against this failure of the department and announced a 'bandh.'<br /><br />While the workers were conducting a rally in the region, police lathi charged on them. They also challaned the vehicles and arrested 14 party workers to stop them from moving any further.

    In the survey, the health department conducted tests on more than 2,76 lakh people and found that 90,122 were suspected cases of dental fluorosis and 17,160 persons were suspected cases of skeletal fluorosis but it came as a shock for the health authorities when they found that there are cases of 4,850 suspected non-skeletal cases.<br /><br />Dr Jaiswal said they do not have separate figures of cases of infertility linked to fluorosis as they are included in suspected non-skeletal cases. The other non-skeletal cases are persons suffering from swollen joints, muscular tenderness and systematic rigidity.<br /><br />The survey was conducted in 18 districts of the state. The highest number of non-skeletal cases were found in Jodhpur (2,262), Churu (1,325) and Jaipur (1,068).

    After the Union ministry of finance issued a circular to all Central government departments to curb paper use and encouraged electronic communication, the Rajasthan government is considering it to replicate it in the state. The proposal is under consideration and if gets nod from chief minister Vasundhara Raje, the state will become first in the country to take lead on the matter.<br /><br />The finance ministry in its notice asked other ministries to ensure that memos should be typed on both sides of the paper. Typing should be done in a single space and policy instructions and guidelines can be uploaded on official websites of the ministries concerned rather than circulating hard copies. It also added that office copies should not be typed again where the draft itself if legible and does not contain many corrections.<br /><br />The Rajasthan government is also considering to adopt the same procedures. The proposal is in the primary stage but is likely to be floated from the administrative department. "Government is the major consumer of paper. Unnecessary use of it leads to not only to expenditure but there are environmental hazards too. We will like to replicate it in Rajasthan," said an official from the administrative department.

    The Rajasthan High Court has issued notice in a petition filed with respect to the Common Law Admission Test. The petition, filed by a number of individuals including students of National Law University Jodhpur, seeks a direction to the effect that candidates should be allowed to carry back the CLAT question paper as well as be provided a copy of the OMR sheets. The petition also seeks a permanent CLAT body to take care of the admissions. The petitioners have impleaded the Bar Council of India, Gujarat National Law University (in charge of conducting CLAT 2014) as well as thirteen other national law schools.
