You must register, then you may access all the books at this site. Not only do you have the stories, with audio, but there are games that reinforce that go along with them.
These are submitted eBooks in PowerPoint form. You need to download, then open them.

Like Project Gutenberg, this site has out of print, expired copyright titles. You'll find "classics" here.

Variety of stories introduced by and read by celebrities. Very engaging. Sometimes slow to load, so you may want to "preload" a story for the younger users.
use the search feature on the right-hand side on this one to find and preview books for your students. These are all submissions, but they are rated for audience. All are intended for beginning or struggling readers, although some for teenaged beginners.
Nice variety of stories here. It is not searchable, but the list is short enough to scroll/browse.
Essays, Poems, Plays, Short Stories, Non-fiction, and Fiction. Not divided by level and much of this is classic literature at a higher reading level.
This site has classics, but it also is the only one I've seen that allows you to search by age and includes graphic novels for kids as well. You view the books online just like they appear in print, complete with the illustrations.
This site has been around for quite a while. The text of the fables is here, and some of them have audio. There is also a translator feature.
There are some titles here for readaloud for elementary children and many poems. You can not only read these online, but audio is included.
Nice variety of books available here, but you have to sift through the listings to find chldren's books. Most will be readaloud choices.
