Students created a multimedia project on a solar body. These Projects included uploaded images, videos and links to external sites.
Science Grade 7 - Genetic Disorder Project - Mrs. Rockwell
The genetics disorder project was a culmination project at the end of\nthe genetics unit. Each student was required to research all aspects of\nthe disorder, from causes, symptoms, treatment and diagnosis. Once the\nresearch was complete, each student focused in on one aspect of the\ndisorder, and created a glog about that. Their glog was then linked to\nothers in the class (one glog/aspect of the disorder) by a main page.
Social Studies Grade 7 - City of Ember Project - Mrs. Baker
A collaborative SS/LA project where students read about the society and government collapse in the novel City of Ember and used their knowledge of the Bill of Rights to comment on the state of the government and violations of rights seen within the novel. They were also required to analyze character, create a friendly letter, and symbolize character values in the creation of their Glog.
Global Cuisine Project - Mrs. Quirk
For Family and Consumer Science students complete a project containing information that focuses mainly on the cuisine and culture of the country you have chosen.
Spanish Grade 8 - Memories at Lurgio Project
Students had to create a glog that contained images and sentences written and spoken in Spanish. The focus was on memories/events that happened while they were at Lurgio for 7th and 8th grade.
Students created a poster that included events that happened while at Lurgio Middle School. The used GarageBand to record their sentences.
Social Studies Grade 8 - 20s & 30s Photo Collage - Mrs. Flegal/Mr. Gookin
Special education students created photo collages with voice recordings (using Garage Band).
