Greg Klyma is the Rust Belt vagabond, a home-cooked meal and a Vaudeville show in a fast food, karaoke world. He crafts a set with the same skill that he crafts his songs. The stories blend seamlessly into songs, evoking a flavor of Mark Twain, Woody Guthrie and David Sedaris. A prolific songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and seasoned performer, Klyma brings to every stage a deep catalog of material that assumes audiences are both smart and able to laugh.

I am a Philadelphia area musician playing mandolin, octave mandolin and Irish tenor banjo. I draw my repertoire mainly from Ireland, New England, and the maritime traditions. I aim to treat these traditions with the sensitivity, detail, and liveliness that they deserve.

My name is Hiroya Tsukamoto and I am a New York based guitarist and singer.
I am originally from Japan, so if my English writing is not correct or rude, please let me know any feedback.
I am writing you because I am interested in performing at St. John's CoffeeHouse Concert. Since your concert features sometimes different kind of music such as classical, I think my music would fit. Also, your historic beautiful space with stained glass would be perfect to present my music.
You might book only artists you have seen live, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could at least check about me. I understand that your concerts mostly feature American folk musicians and singersongwriters, but I just performed the Official Showcase at SERFA and people enjoyed it very much, so I think I could bring something fresh to Arlington.
I play original acoustic music blending the West and the East. It would be wonderful if you could take some time to check about my website which contains my music.

Also, I would be happy to send my CD if you could accept it.
    Thank you for your time.

We are currently booking dates for Cold Chocolate, a Bluegrass/Roots band from Boston, would love to come play at the St. John's Coffeehouse.  We are a four-piece, featuring guitar, banjo, upright bass, and drums, with three part harmonies and can either play as a full band or as a stripped down acoustic trio.  Cold Chocolate appeared on the Showcase stage at the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival this year as well as Bluegrass on the Bogs, and will be appearing at Ossipee Valley Bluegrass Festival at the end of July.

Cold Chocolate's album, "This Old Way," has been featured on numerous Americana stations, including: WXRV (MA), WFDU (NJ), WHFC (MD), FolksScene, KKFI, KVNF, and WDVR, as well as European Americana radio programs, including: Songriver, Radio Parkstad, PeelGrass, and ISA Radio.

This show will be publicized and promoted professionally.

    Info Below:

Cold Chocolate guitarist/songwriter Ethan Robbins believes that the rootsy sounds of bluegrass music were meant to be fused with the backbeat of funk. Ethan’s bluegrass career began at Oberlin College. There he met upright bassist Kirsten Lamb, and the two began developing a new style of sophisticated but accessible Americana. Now joined by the jazz-inflected banjo of James McIver and the loose-wristed Ariel Bernstein on drums, Cold Chocolate proves to be an innovative Americana act with their debut album “This Old Way.”  Hailing from Boston’s vibrant acoustic scene, Cold Chocolate has built a reputation for creating original, exciting, and virtuosic tunes.

Let me know if we can work something out.

    Best,
    Ethan

"The Angels of Jazz have the audience's feet tappin' and fingers snappin'"
    Kathy Uek
    Metrowest Daily News
"The Follen Angels provide fresh arrangements to familiar classics that not only entertain, but enlighten the audience.  The group plays exceptionally well together: Hildy Grossman provides a powerful yet smooth as silk lead vocal.  Drummer Ken Dantzig plays from whisper soft to Buddy Rich hard solo, always in time, always in the pocket.  Pianist and support vocalist Reiko Tanaka provides a beautiful harmony and unique style all her own.  Together with their bass player Nick Thibault and horns by Rick Stone, they make the perfect quintet.  Their repertoire sounds unique and fresh, not dated.  Gershwin never sounded so good with a twist of funk.  This was the most fun I've had in the cabaret in a long time.  The Follen Angels are a must see!"
