Diapees & Wipees is a business started by Christie Rein and her husband in 2004. She came up with the idea of creating designer diaper bags for moms after she got tired of carrying diapers around in a freezer bag. Within one year, her business made more than $180,000 in sales in 2005.
Byron Reese started his company, SantaMail.org, which sells fully personalized letters from Santa Claus all across North America. Parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends can purchase a personalized letter for a child for $10. Reese sold 10,000 letters in 2001, his first year in business. The strategy pushed 2005 sales to $1 million.
It's a seasonal business. Great idea. Simple idea. It could really go well if revamped for cities like Atlanta.

Asafumi Yamashita, the 56 year old celebrity gardner, makes $150,000 a year selling his home-grown Japanese vegetables to some of the world's top chefs. He has no staff, and his garden is located behind his house. He and his wife take delight in growing and transporting their vegetables to star-restaraunts in France themselves.
I love it!
Yamashita is following his passion and doing what he loves. He sells to a select few top chefs and restaurants. He could expand, but he's not trying to grow a multi-million dollar empire. He's happy. And he makes enough money to live comfortably. That's what it's about.

Idea: I wonder what would be a cool concept to create a twitter account around and serve as a Twitter Filter for it?
Here's a great example of a niche brand.
This product and website can be used as a case study on pro's and con's.
