MACUL 2010
I love Diigo - including the lists feature. This list is what I'll be using for the session tomorrow.\n\n1) Diigo\n2) Bookmarking - send to blog post - settings\n3) Groups & widgets\n4) Tag dictionaries
Items that we'll share in the Web 2 smackdown session. This is where many people share. You may also share on twitter under #w2smackdown
I am using this feature at NECC quite a bit - you can turn bookmarks into webslides. It is very useful and helpful!
1) Google Calendar - Labs
2) Google Marketplace for Domains - add features to your domain.
Eracism project semifinal voicethread. Here is an example of a voicethread used in a global collaborative debate environment.
Educators Group on Diigo - over 1400 educators share in this group which also has standard tags to help us categorize and share.

Great Web 2.0 links that will be shared (and were shared last year) from the Web 2.0 smackdown. This is a speed sharing session where people are given 3 minutes to come and share their information. The bookmarks will be fed to this link. This is where the links go!
I really like Webslides and Lists on Diigo as well as Classroom groups (which let you add kids younger than Coppa minimum age.)
Web 2 Smackdown Warmup
Warming Up
One of my favorite web 2.0 tools shown last year at necc wasn't on a computer, it was a keychain used by Kevin Honeycutt. These are amazing and this is a photograph of that. These were given to the teacher at his school in sort of a swap meet - people wrote about what it was and links on one side and the name on the other side along with the name of a person who could be contacted to help with that. Each teacher had to bring two to share with the others.
Warmup
This is the student blog where they share how to use various tools. We love reactiongrid and used it quite a bit this year as a great alternative to Second Life.
Where my students collaborate in a virtual world - like Second life although much more flexible in my opinion. Based on OpenSim.
You can use this tool to schedule tweets to go to your class twitter account. For example, set up an assignment and go ahead and schedule the tweets that go there.
If you're on slideshare and want to share your NECC 2009 presentations, just add them to this event group! Event groups are cool ways to share slides.
Basic Backchannel chat room netiquette. I use this generic slideshow to share and teach about backchannel.
