    • Moroccan citizens have in general low spending power, there is a substantial upper class, but the fastest growing group in the society is the middle class. In general, Morocco has low prices except from imported goods, cheap labour, an excellent infrastructure, while there is medium efficiency in bureaucracy.
      • This means that there is quite a few many people who have previously had no jobs but due to modernisation of the country, it has turned it's economy around.

    • Many are very, very poor, but things are not getting worse for the poor, and indications are that the development will make their lives easier and better too.
      • This means that this country has gone through some rough times as usually when a country that has poor people, it means that they have either gained independance from a European power, in this case France, and that now people must fend for themselves onther than european soldiers to keep evrything in place.

      • The main offical language is Arabic Derija, which is different from the commonly used Qu'ran Arabic. Many different Europeans nationas have used morocco for a startegic base, so many languages have been spread such as Spanish, French, and as well as English which is gaining popularity fast.

Moroccan Arabic, called Derija (literally, “dialect”), is the most widely spoken tongue. Derija is quite different from the classical Arabic of the Qur'an (Koran). Access to satelite television means many Moroccans understand Arabic dialects in neighboring countries. Imazighen peoples, or some 60 percent of the population, speak Amazigh dialects in addition to Arabic. Prominent dialects include Tashilhayt (spoken in the High Atlas and Sous Valley), Tarifit (Rif region), and Tamazight (Middle Atlas region). Hasaniya, an Arabic dialect, is spoken around Goulmima and in the south, including Western Sahara. Spanish can still be heard in the north, which was formerly under Spanish control. English is gaining popularity.

      • Morocco has seen many different rulers such as Phoencia, the Greeks, Carthage, Rome, and the Visigoths. They have been also been a protecterate to the French but gained independance in 1956 and was reconized by the United States of America. For 15 years, they have been fighting a group in the Western Shara costing millions of dollars and many men.

    • Agriculture is the backbone of the economy, employing about 40 percent of the labor force. Most agricultural production is carried out by subsistence farmers, but a small modern sector produces enough food to account for 30 percent of all export earnings. Morocco has the world's third largest deposit of phosphate, which accounts for about 20 percent of export earnings. Other significant industries are food processing, leather goods, textiles, construction, and tourism. Morocco's small manufacturing sector is growing. Morocco has a small stock market, one of the first in the Arab world. About 15 percent of the labor force works abroad, primarily in Western Europe. The money these workers send back to Morocco helps offset the country's foreign debt. Chronically high unemployment, illiteracy, a large government bureaucracy, and inefficient state-owned industries remain economic challenges. The currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD).
      • Most of the money that the country makes is made by exports from agriculture. They also make money through phosphate which takes up 30% of the exports money. They have a huge workforce abroad where the men send back money to help the government pay off international debts.

      • In traditional homes, it is impolite for guests to finish eating before the hosts.
      • In a home, it it very rude for a visitor to finish dinner before the hosts
