  Given that millennials are the largest generation in American history -- 95 million compared to just 78 million Baby Boomers -- this virtually guarantees a future in which the LGBT community can expect support for equal rights across the board.
• Millennials are considered the most civic-minded generation since the cohort of Americans born in the 1930s and '40s, after a drop in activism among Generation Xers.
• A majority of millennials believe we should do all we can to protect the environment, including imposing stricter government regulations. Seventy-one percent favor the development of alternate sources of energy like wind and solar, and two-thirds of millennials say they recycle.

• Russian lawmakers will in February debate a bill that could see homosexual couples lose custody of their children, parliamentary documents showed Wednesday.

   

  The debate will likely coincide with the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi which have already been marred by boycott calls over Russia’s controversial new anti-gay legislation.

   

  The bill, published on the website of Russia’s Duma lower house of parliament, says the state can strip parents of custody if they practise “non-traditional sexual relations,” the term used in Russian laws to describe homosexual relations.
