• • I think I could use teams to produce a poster as a summative for a unit. I would like to have teams create a poster meeting specific guidelines. This could work well with CCS because I could provide several different resources for students to use. Perhaps I could have one DOK 3 or 4 questions per section of a chapter in the textbook. Or a couple DOK 3 or 4 questions that entail what they they need to know about a topic. Then, students could use the various resources to answer and create their poster.

• By interacting with each other and the content of the project, students learn a  lot about teamwork and the curriculum
• But student learning does not end with the completion of the project. The next  step is for teams to view other teams’ projects, to learn from their creativity,  and to leave feedback so the creators can see how their projects are perceived  by others.
• • Evaluating other teams projects requires higher order thinking espeically when it is directed by a response sheet.
• One student writes feedback on a feedback sheet posted by the project.
• • It is also helpful so see how there are different ways to solve problems and represent ideas.
• Students benefit from seeing creative solutions to problems, learn to critically  examine products, and are celebrated for the fruits of their labor.

• • I would tend to let the person strongest at writing be the recorded repeatedly, but I think it would be benefitical for students to rotate this job. Doing this with the support of team could increase a students skills and confidence.
• • I don't think a switchboard is necessary for this. If there are set groups then the job could be rotated through the team.

• By calling a random number from 1–4, you quickly assign one student on each team  as the Recorder.
• • I like this method of randomly selecting a recorder, but this may be too random if there are particular students that you want to develop these skills.
• Randomly assigning the role of the Recorder helps equalize participation,  because any student can be assigned the role.
• But doing this may mean one student on the team has a very active role while  others are more passive.
• • This doesn't have to be the case if teams collectively decide what is recorded and aid in the spelling and construction of the work.
• 1) Timed Rotations. You can rotate roles using a timer.
• • These are great ideas so that the weaker students doesn't feel put on the spot or overwhelmed.
• 2) Task Rotations. Roles can also be rotated based on the task.  For example, have teammates take turns filling in each answer on the worksheet.
