Which is not to say that it's wrong for Billboard to add YouTube (GOOG) to the Hot 100. It should have done so years ago, since that's where a lot of people discover new music

With the addition of Youtube songs into the billboards top 100, the industry continues to change shape and allow more room for indie artist.

This week the Billboard Hot 100, the magazine’s 55-year-old singles chart, takes a evolutionary step by incorporating YouTube plays into its formula
