This is a fun way to practice many math concepts, following the guidelines of the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire game. This game can be used with small groups, or make teams and use as a whole class activity. There is some repetition of questions as you work through the levels.

Lots of variety of lessons and concepts/skills. Can be used as excellent practice sessions for students, with feedback provided for their results.

The link to the Start of the Year Survey looks like an interesting beginning activity.

This site is very useful for interactive smartboard lessons and games that can be used in math. There are many topics/concepts to choose from. This is a good place to start to get ideas for how to use Smartboard technology. Other subject areas are also available.

This was recommended site from our math consultant. May be worth signing up to use. I have tried some of the sample games, and they look good. Students will like the graphics. Flower Power game certainly would challenge knowledge of fractions and decimals and ordering numbers (and how quickly students can make these comparisons mentally).

This site is one of various games and exercises, many interactive, for grade 7 math concepts. Some are quite tricky, like the factor game in the multiplications, factors and sqaure roots section. Sections include an interactive game, as well as, exercises ready for use and answers.
