• MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)

    MSM is a sulfur compound found naturally in plants,   animals and the human body. MSM offers a natural way to reduce inflammation   and pain without serious side effects. MSM is a nutritional supplement, not   a drug.

• Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), from which MSM is derived, has also demonstrated pain-reduction and anti-inflammatory properties. DMSO has been used for nearly 40 years in veterinary applications, especially for horses, to relieve pain and inflammation. Read more about DMSO   MSM offers many of the healing properties of DMSO, but without DMSO's odor.   DMSO offers the benefit that it will carry other nutrients through the skin.   This is something that MSM does not do.

    Both DMSO and MSM help reduce pain and inflammation.   Chronic inflammation may contribute to the formation of cancer.

• “In 1988, Dr. Harold Foster of the University of Victoria, British Columbia, reviewed 200 cases of spontaneous regression from cancer, and found that nearly 90% of these people had made major dietary changes before their dramatic improvement “spontaneously” occurred.  Usually, their changes involved switching to a strictly vegetarian diet,
• cancer cells sometimes mistake a vitamin C molecule for glucose.  When the cancer cell tries to metabolize vitamin C, hydrogen peroxide is produced which is deadly for the cancer cell.

• What he's saying is that the microbe that gets into the cell and causes it to become a fermenting (cancer) cell is nothing other than candida. And treating it requires nothing more than getting baking soda next to the area with the cancer cells and the cells die. That may  be a bit over-simplified, but not much.
• something we can try out is alternating with the bicarbonate  treatments could be magnesium chloride IVs and perhaps the vitamin C could be added  to that. My friend who has seen results for himself and others with the transdermal  magnesium chloride insists it would do the same internally when used and directed  toward tumors and you know what, I bet he is right. Even if he is wrong he is right  because IV magnesium treatments are incredibly useful medically speaking and saves  lives all the time when used in emergency situations.

• several years after Dr. Gary Glum published the four-herb Essiac formula and   gave it away free of charge, Canadian talk show host Elaine Alexander marketed   an eight-herb formula, which included the four herbs that Dr. Glum published.    Her marketing campaign proclaimed that Essiac's "new name was "FLOR ESSENCE" [R].  She subsequently died of   cancer.  Even today a common misconception still exists that Elaine   Alexander's formula is Rene Caisse's authentic Essiac formula.    However, Mary McPherson's recorded   affidavit settled that controversy in 1994.  This eight-herb formula   appears to be Dr. Charles   Brusch's own formula, not Rene Caisse's Essiac formula.

• Another laboratory study reported that high doses of both Flor•Essence and Essiac herbal teas reduced the growth of cancer cells.

• One box makes a total of 96 ozs or 3 liters of the concentrate from 3 pouches.
• Rene Caisse, in her capacity as a researcher during the early decades of her involvement with this herbal tea, tried many ways to use the formula, one of which was by intramuscular injection.  Only one of the herbs was ever injected at a time, the rest still were taken by mouth.  When she and Dr. Charles Brusch were partners from 1959 to 1978, they perfected the 8-herb formula so injections were no longer necessary.
• Flor•Essence can safely be taken during chemotherapy or radiation, and should be, since it can help the patient deal with many of the side effects of these therapies.
• Flor•Essence does not interfere with any allopathic treatment, nor with any alternative treatment.

• Caisse treated thousands of cases. The vast majority were brought to her for treatment after surgery, radiation and chemotherapy had failed and the patients had been pronounced incurable.
• Dr. Frederick Banting, discoverer of insulin, wanted to test the substance in his laboratory, because one person who had been cured of cancer by Essiac was taken off insulin for her diabetes. Under Essiac™ therapy, though her cancer tumor of the bowel became larger and harder at first, the tumor soon softened, got smaller and disappeared. The woman's diabetes also disappeared. Dr. Banting thought the Essiac™ healed the pancreas as well, and thus had potential to treat diabetes. He wanted to test the substance in his lab, but he also wanted Caisse to close her clinic while tests were run. She refused. There were too many people waiting for treatment. The tests on diabetes were not run.
• high success rate with those who had the least amount of radiation or chemotherapy. Most had begun the Essiac alternative in late stages of their cancer illness. However, Essiac™ has a far better success rate than chemotherapy.
• In 1978, nurse Caisse signed over the rights to her Essiac formula, before she died at the age of 90, to the Resperin Corp. (the original trademarked Essiac™ is produced and distributed by David Dobbie in Campbellton, New Brunswick, with approval of Canadian authorities), and Dr. Charles Brusch, M.D., of Cambridge, Massachusetts, who worked with Caisse in treating many patients and refining the herbal formula. He later cured himself of cancer of the lower bowel with the herbal treatments. Upon retirement he gave the improved, clinically studied formula to Elaine Alexander of Vancouver, B.C. Alexander soon after turned over rights to this formula to the Flora, Inc. company, an herbal and natural products family-held business long known for its quality and purity of food supplements. Flora company called the Brusch/Caisse formula, "Flor-Essence™," and has marketed if for the past twenty years.

• The question as usual is: "Does it work?" Based on discussions on various Internet forums, I am rather skeptical that it works very often, if it works at all. Many people report using it or plans to use it, but few, if any, credible reports of benefit have surfaced. Surely if Essiac were highly effective then, given its great popularity, there would be many credible reports of success.

• Diagnosis: squamous carcinoma of lip.
   Doctors: Dr. Ansley, Pathologist; Dr. A.F. Bastedo, Bracebridge, Ontario. 

   After the pathologists report, Dr. Bastedo urged Mr. Hampson to go at once to have radium treatment as he had no time to lose. Mr. Hampson came to me for treatment and was cured. When he went before the Cancer Commission on July 4, 1939, with other patients, they listed his case as "recovery due to surgery". The only surgery he had was the removal of a small section for the biopsy which showed the cancer! 

    Note: Mr. Hampson was well on May 4, 1960. 

• Patient had a hard mass with sloughing and bleeding and great pain. When he refused surgery, Dr. Kenny gave Miss Rene Caisse a written diagnosis with permission to treat with ESSIAC. Treatments began in April of 1935 and the last of 30 was given on May 1, 1936, and a good improvement in weight. Patient was able to work during treatment period except for one month of rest. No trace of cancer found in 1936 when he was examined by Doctors W.C. Arnold of Ottawa, Herbert Monthorne of Timmins, Ont., and F. Greig of Bracebridge, Ont. 

    Note: Mr. Rawson died of a stroke on May 22, 1960 at age 73 .
• It seems the only cases they admit had cancer are the ones who died of it.
• It is my honest opinion that if apple cider vinegar were found to benefit cancer patients, it would be banned from the public!

• A 20-fold dilution of Essiac also exhibited significant immunomodulatory effects, specifically through stimulation of granulocyte phagocytosis, increases in CD8+ cell activation, and moderately inhibiting inflammatory pathways.
• CONCLUSION: In vitro analysis of Essiac indicates significant antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties, as well as neoplastic cell specific cytotoxicity consistent with the historical properties ascribed to this compound. Importantly, significant CYP450 and fibrinolysis inhibition were also observed. This is the first comprehensive investigation of the in vitro effects of Essiac.

• The normal adult value for magnesium is 1.5-2.5 mEq/L.  

• It goes against a gale wind of medical science to ignore magnesium chloride used transdermally in the treatment of any chronic or acute disorder, especially cancer.
• just as severe dehydration or asphyxiation can cause death, magnesium deficiency can directly lead to cancer. When you consider that over 300 enzymes and ion transport require magnesium and that its role in fatty acid and phospholipid acid metabolism affects permeability and stability of membranes, we can see that magnesium deficiency would lead to physiological decline in cells setting the stage for cancer.
• Magnesium deficiency seems to be carcinogenic, and in case of solid tumors, a high level of supplemented magnesium inhibits carcinogenesis. Both carcinogenesis and magnesium deficiency increase the plasma membrane permeability and fluidity. Scientists have in fact found out that there is much less Mg++ binding to membrane phospholipids of cancer cells, than to normal cell membranes.
• According to Dr. Russell Blaylock, low magnesium is associated with dramatic increases in free radical generation as well as glutathione depletion and this is vital since glutathione is one of the few antioxidant molecules known to neutralize mercury.
