"Innovations in interactive mapping have exploded recently: media artists all over the world are harnessing mobile platforms and geospatial technologies to tell stories in new ways. Visual analytics are more important than ever, and are being used to trace narrative arcs globally, to track audience participation, measure engagement, and assess the social impact of media. Documentary filmmakers are architecting new outreach models based in mapping code, semantic search functionality, and even computational linguistics. Featuring Tanya Keen from Google, Margot Brennan from Radical Designs, and filmmaker Patrice O'Neill. "
Hans Rosling is the Co-founder of the Gapminder Foundation. The way he presents data is astounding. I'm able to understand (to a point) complicated issues that would take me years of study to comprehend. I think his social artistry skill is his ability to use visualizations of data to quickly bring greater awareness to people.

The Penn Resiliency Program
First, let me tell you about the Penn Resiliency Program: its major goal is to increase students’ ability to handle day-to-day problems that are common during adolescence. PRP promotes optimism by teaching students to think more realistically and flexibly about the problems they encounter. PRP also teaches assertiveness, creative brainstorming, decision making, relaxation, and several other coping skills. PRP is the most widely researched depression-prevention program in the world. During the past two decades, twenty-one studies have evaluated PRP in comparison to control groups. Many of these studies used randomized controlled designs. Together these studies include more than three thousand children and adolescents between the ages of eight and twenty-two. Here are the basic findings:

The following is a collection of tools from ABCD faculty members and fellows as well as individuals and organizations that embody the principles of ABCD in their work. The addition of the toolkit was made possible by a generous grant from the Alumnae of Northwestern University.
We hope you find these to be useful. New tools will be added as we come across them.

What is it?
The Route Map is a framework for action to help organisations develop a sustainable health system.
It will help you to coordinate and take action so your organisation can save money, resources, improve health and make changes future proof.
The Route Map is the result of a ground-breaking collaboration between the health system and around 70 partners. The Route Map framework isn't set in stone and will evolve over time as we discuss what needs to be done at an individual or an organisational level to make the health system more sustainable.
