A nice scroll-page of visual insights about how Intuit employs DT to "design for delight." Venn diagram and cocktail napkin sketch are fabulous.

Really fab talk in incubating, instigating, and building, building, building -- to innovate.
John Maeda talks of Paul Rand through 4 questions. Pivots to hope and his new life in venture capital and culture shaping at Ebay. His visuals of Venture made me think of the current work with iDiploma and iProject - how to guide the learners through the start-ups without overly privileging the "intended outcomes" (that cannot all be foreseen or measured). He compares "start-ups" and "end-ups" in brilliant ways, and got me reflecting on how I've worked for/with both. Maeda concludes with powerful lessons on leadership.
Love 3 paradoxes to expect when innovating. "Embracing the Paradoxes of Innovation" http://t.co/Zf8hQWdLc6 via @SSIReview
"At the Rockefeller Foundation, we have identified three paradoxes in our work with innovators around the world.
1. How to pursue innovation without falling prey to “cultification.”
2. How to collaborate without being derailed by compromise.
3. How to scale up breakthrough inventions within the established conventions of organizations."
Entrepreneurs and change-makers from various industries and sectors. Good potential case studies. Innovator sketches.
How might iDiploma cohort use these 3 Qs to design their leadership strategies?

""We think of design not so much as decoration, but as a creative force that can be used to solve problems," says Flusche, who defines design as "the convergence of creativity and function.""
"It's important to know that your sense of professional success is defined by the parameters you set. Choosing the right metrics means knowing how and when to best measure yourself, and that can provide you with the self-driven momentum to exceed even your highest expectations for your career."
Project addressing a real-world context and application. Therefore, it naturally has components from many domains and subject areas. And it's learning that is meant to go beyond the grade book.

[I'm a huge fan of Michalko. Love his book Creative Thinkering. The metaphor of the cathedral is so powerful to me.]
