"“Charles,” Erik says, and if his voice hits a pleading note then who can really blame him, “Charles, it’s me.”
It takes several longer moments before Charles musters up the strength to answer, breath stuttering horribly as he tries to breathe. He’s shaking, entire body trembling.
“Erik,” Charles says, his voice cracking, “Erik, I want to die.”"
Erik has dreams of a dark room, of being pushed down into the floor and violated in a way that makes him scream until his throat is raw. But Shaw never, ever touched him like that, so Erik wonders if he somehow repressed memories of Shaw's torture. Either way, he hides the dreams from Charles, intent on suffering through it alone, as he always has.
And then one day, the nightmares come when he's still awake, and he realizes that these aren't his nightmares, they're Charles's. It's Charles projecting in his sleep, and then Erik realizes that they aren't nightmares at all, they're memories from Charles's hidden past.
Erik tries to be a good grandfather and Billy tries to help him to be happy. Teddy is (like always) an awesome boyfriend.
"I would never turn away another mutant in need," Charles says. He reads Erik's mind blatantly and without shame these days. Erik supposes he deserves it. "And you, my friend, are needier than most."
Most people can’t pinpoint the moment when they first become aware of sex. Charles can. Just a quick look at Charles’ telepathy and how it might shape his attitude towards sex.
Erik's spent fifty years being a figurehead and he's ready to leave that behind. Luckily, so is Charles.
(aka Old Retired Dudes in Love)
Charles sees the events of the missile crisis and subsequent weeks when he uses Cerebro to touch the mind of a mutant with the power to see the near future. When he wakes up he is determined that he will not allow them to happen and he will not lose the people he loves.
Written for a kink meme prompt requesting a XMFC story based off of the 1996 film Different for Girls, but with an FTM Charles and Erik playing the Prentice role. You don't need to have seen it, but the plot owes a lot to the movie.
In a modern AU where mutants are still treated as second-class citizens, Erik once found himself an unlikely friend at a state-run boarding school. When Frances went off to college early, he felt abandoned and figured he'd never meet her again. Fifteen years (and almost three thousand miles) later, Erik runs into an oddly familiar man.
Needless to say, considering the parties involved, the meeting results in a great deal of misunderstandings and awkwardness. And sexual tension.
And, of course, chess.
omewhere between gratuitous sexbot porn and a thoughtful analysis of what it means to be human lies this story. Near-future AU. Mutants have full rights. Cyborgs have none. Featuring genetics expert and telepath Professor Charles Xavier, and Erik, a pleasure model cyborg with a mysterious past.
In 1965, Erik Lehnsherr has infiltrated the NYPD for his own purposes -- but his powers make him a brilliant detective. Yet that's not why FBI agent Charles Xavier has sought him out. It's because the mysterious killer they're both trying to find is murdering people like them: other mutants.
Their search for a madman binds them together. Their inner demons may tear them apart. But the greatest danger comes when the killer they're looking for looks back ...
Charles is raped by an oc or character of anon’s choice but nobody really believes him after all the rapist is a really nice guy and Charles is more than a little bit slutty.
Charles is devastated that not even his sister and his best friend/crush Erik seem to believe him, that every one is talking about him behind his back and seem supportive of his rapist.
A few weeks later Charles vanishes. Worried she and Erik report Charles missing but the police don’t seem to be that worried, Charles is an adult after all.
Years later while watching some sort of news story Erik and Raven spot Charles in the company of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. After a few false starts they track him down to Tony’s house were they promptly arrested by security (or the Avengers) and are taken to Tony who knows exactly who they are a tares them a new one for the way they treated Charles when he really needed them.
After much pleading Tony agrees to talk to Charles to see if he’ll agree to see them and when Charles finally agrees to see them they are shocked to see how different he is from the outgoing flirty, happy go lucky Charles they used to know.
It's Raven who finds the single flaw in his theory, and asks the innocent question that changes everything. "When you say no more hiding, Erik, do you mean that for everyone? Even . . . Charles?"
One day when Charles isn't really thinking (or maybe he is and he is genuinely confused over why everyone else thinks its not so great advice because thats what he was taught) about it he gives horrible advice or does something that makes it painfully obvious how wrong his childhood was. What it is is up to you.
Does Raven have different views on what Charles did/said? How does Erik react? And the kids?
Rage – it's Erik's food, Erik's water, Erik's air; it's not what he intended for Charles. Between – it's hope, a dream, a prayer; it's all the hard work they've put into this. Serenity – it's the goal, the direction, the summit; it's them.
Instead of warily accepting the mutants and their potential as spies, the US government sees them as an entirely separate species and locks them up to study them.
The story opens up with a bunch of grad students being introduced to mutants at the facility. Charles and Erik have become the leaders and fathers of the mutants, who are mostly in their teens, kept at the facility, with Erik as the dark and brooding protector and Charles as the comforting and supportive nurturer. The mutants are all kept in their place with shock collars. If one attempts to use their powers without permission, the collars will zap them and another mutant to keep them in their place. For obvious reasons, Charles is a popular target as most mutants (especially Erik) will immediately stop whatever they're doing if he's hurt.
(Optional scene) The shock collar is displayed for the benefit of the students and Charles is chosen as the subject. This causes all the young mutants to scream and cry and Charles tries to comfort them, while Erik holds him while glaring at the two-way glass at the observing humans.
Charles is also motivated by threats against his family to use Cerebro to track down more mutants, who will be captured and taken to the facility. He's very guilty about this and has become seriously disillusioned with humanity.
If he and Erik are in a relationship, this is noted by the keepers as further proof of the "animalistic and perverse nature" of mutants, and is also posited to be the result of natural hierarchical structures found in nature, with Eric called the "Alpha" of the mutants and Charles his "mate" or "Beta."
Eventually, of course, the mutants organize an escape plan and break out of the facility to reveal themselves to humanity. Whether or not they declare war is entirely up to the author anon!
Wesley didn’t want much out of life, but what he wanted the most was for Charles and Raven to be safe and happy.
So he was rightfully displeased when he heard the message left on his emergency line, and by someone distinctly not Charles or Raven.
Written for the following prompt: Erik is an aggressive, dangerous, cynical mutant, hardened from years of being passed through private laboratories and used for experimentation. He's covered in surgical scars from operations, tattooed and bar coded like a lab rat, and blind from an experiment done on his eyes. ... Charles Xavier finds out about him. Charles runs a sort of sanctuary for mutants that provides lost, abandoned, abused, runaway mutants with shelter, comfort, and help with ability control. He thinks he can rehabilitate Erik and save him from execution, and convinces the government that he can.
When Erik arrives, he is a lot worse than Charles thought he would be ... Everyone else can see that Erik is a nuclear bomb waiting to go off, but Charles refuses to give up on him. ...
The first time Charles sneaks up on him wearing no metal, it triggers him and he reacts instinctively, with violence. ... Erik discovers why Charles understands him so well: he was once used in experiments as well, experiments run by his own family, and in one of them, he lost his voice, so he uses his telepathy to communicate.
Blind Erik, mute Charles, the love.
Erik and Charles were only together once before doubt and fear ground their romance to a halt. But once was apparently all it took. Now Charles is dealing with a pretty crappy secondary mutation, a brand new career teaching mini-mutants and a stubbornly overprotective Erik. This is the story of how Charles and Erik got from Point A to Point B and what they collected along the way.
Realistically, Charles knew it was the least advantageous moment to suddenly remember his impending fatherhood. The Americans and Russians were moments away from inciting a new world war, and likewise, Erik himself seemed a split second from turning humanity against mutants forever. But the words were there without his permission, spilling from his lips in a desperate attempt to save Erik from his own madness, and Charles from the inevitable grief that would follow. So he said it. He shouted it. In one felled swoop he told Erik about the life growing inside of him. It was ridiculous and unbelievable and frightening, and Charles had done his best to ignore it up until that moment. But then, with the missiles moments away from destroying so many human lives, Charles recognized the life inside him for what it was. Grasping at straws he told Erik they'd created a child. There was a baby to consider now, equal parts theirs. Pretending the baby was anything but, was no longer an option.
