After the defeat of the Dark Elves, Asgard resumes enforcing its ancient hegemony over the other realms - including Midgard. To defend itself from Asgardian tyranny, Earth must seek alliance with its former enemy: Loki.
“Always remember that the crowd that applauds your coronation is the same crowd that will applaud your beheading. People like a show.” - Terry Pratchett
"Loki's been hauled back to Asgard, judged, bound and sentenced for his crimes. Chapter XXV posted. There's a hole in the fabric of the world; a gaping, savage tear in the skin of the universe. Fortunately, Loki's good at those. Unfortunately, Loki's in chains."
"Post-Avengers. Before Loki can fulfill the punishment Odin sentenced him to, he is stolen by Thanos and punished for his failure. After two years, he escapes and lands on the doorstep of the Avengers. Together, they must defeat Thanos and his armies, save the earth, and help Loki become whole again. No Loki romance. Bamf!Loki, lots of Loki whump. WARNING: non-graphic rape, torture."
"When Tony Stark was seventeen years old, he built his first AI. On that day, he ceased to be his father's creation, and became a creating force in his own right.
That one act likely saved his life, and not always in the most obvious ways."
"When Tony and Steve’s son from the future, Jake Jensen, arrives at Avenger’s Tower, the two of them are forced to confront some hard truths: Tony that he might not actually become a horrible father, and Steve that he might not be able to set aside his discomfort with sharing a child with another man. When they both get a second chance at a first try at fatherhood, it’s up to the two of them to learn from their own future's past."
"None of this was supposed to happen. SHIELD wasn't supposed to find Thor and Loki on Earth three years after the battle. Loki wasn't supposed to be a silent shadow of who he once was. And the Avengers...weren't ever meant to have to endure the madness that would follow. "Cry, Loki. Cry.""
"According to the report, Loki had several broken bones and had head injuries in the front of his skull as well as the back. He also seemed to be sick, for he was getting a fever and was confused as hell.
The report didn't state it like that, mind you, they used some fancy words, but Tony could easily see by the way he kept asking where he was, who they all were, and what he had done that Loki was one big ball of confusion."
"When Loki is reincarnated as a child on Midgard with dreams for memories, Thor searches to re-awaken his brother. When he finds him, he makes an executive decision. Instead of taking him to Asgard, he takes him to Avengers Tower. Journey Into Mystery & Avengers (Movie) AU."
"Loki was cold, always cold, a shadow just barely existing, waiting for sunrise to banish him. Tony wished the wound in his hand was wider, the blood leaking from the rupture hotter, wanted to spill heat and smear it over the shadow to give it form and make it real, to give it something tangible to hold onto when the light came."
"Loki's back - but whatever he expected when he opened the Tesseract, it was not a real Elf of Mirkwood falling through.
It's up to the Avengers and Hawkeye to deal with the surprise guest now and find a way to bring him back."
"In which our heroes learn the perils of lack of inter-team communication, and Loki gives his side of the story."
"Written for the Norsekink prompt: "SHIELD has Loki in custody, with the gag on to keep him from spellcasting, but they don't really know what to DO with him. They can't give him food or water or attempt to interrogate him with the gag on, and they don't dare take it off. Their solution? Call in a telepath! But Charles Xavier may find more things in Loki's head than SHIELD bargained for...""
"A summary of the plot: teenage Loki's secretive behaviour and Asgard's lack of sex ed cause major, horrible problems.
A summary of the reasons you shouldn't read this: it is basically a trigger warning made into a fic. SERIOUSLY DON'T READ IT."
"When Loki is captured by Shield, they discover a dark secret between Loki and Odin. A different take on Loki's 'monster' kids."
"After falling from the Bifrost, Loki landed in the back garden of a small house in Bristol, England, and was taken in by the occupants-- supernatural creatures who know a thing or two about what it feels like to think you are a monster.
Now that he's no longer all alone, or entirely an outcast, Loki just wants a peaceful life. However, when you're the God of Mischief (even if you're technically an alien, and not a god at all) adventures just seem to find you..."
"Three months after Operation Avengers all is well. Or is it? When Steve and Tony hack into SHIELD to find missing weapons shipments they find more than they bargained for in the form of a prisoner who should, by rights, have been sent to Asgard long ago."
The Chitauri twisted Loki's magic and forced him to become pregnant, but the fetus was killed during the New York battle. As Loki's plans are dashed one after the other, he keeps struggling to come up with a way to escape what's coming.
Or: gratuitous Loki whump.
"All right, Rudolph. Find X," Stark says, tossing his empty soup bowl down and bringing up another pseudo-screen of light, tapping rapidly on it. He slides the image over, fingers pinning it down to the table, trapping naught but air and offering it as an olive branch. Whatever darkens Stark's eyes when their gazes meet is not pity, not blame, and there are drops of onion soup in his ridiculous beard.
Loki slowly reaches over to tap the little X that is revealed once Stark lifts his thumb away and says, "I found it."
It seems unlikely that any outside force will ever work to redeem Loki, whether because he's incorrigable or they're just not prepared to try. This leaves Loki in the familiar position of having to do it all by himself.
