TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

On TED.com, we make the best talks from TED available to the world, for free. More than 700 TEDTalks are now available, with more added each week. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted.

The National Archives has created a new web site to help educators teach with primary-source documents. The site, called DocsTeach, not only lets teachers explore documents in a variety of media from the National Archives holdings, but it also includes online tools to help teachers combine these materials and create engaging history activities for students. The Virtual History Museum (VHM) enables a teacher or student, who serves as a curator, to develop an exhibit about a historical topic. Exhibits include activities that help viewers investigate the exhibit and then communicate to others the results.
