This portal has a multitude of links concerning the entire Kennedy Assassination and the many theories that have been produced by ‘inquiring’ minds. The page is also broken down into a Subject Directory concerning all of the many aspects to this convoluted, and often confusing, topic. This page also has several search functions as well as a link to a Google Group archive. This portal is almost a one stop shopping for information on this topic. I think it is a great ‘jumping off’ point for the students to see all that has been collected on this topic and can narrow the focus from here. This portal is much like a Wikipedia search with awesome links!

This portal is a page displaying links for information concerning all forms of assassination attempts and successes of prominent political and religious leaders. This page also has a link concerning assassinations of the 1960’s to give a broader spectrum of information concerning the political times and attitudes of citizens during this tumultuous time in American History. Mind you, there are quite a few ‘far out’ (excuse my 1960’s pun) theories that are also represented here, but the majority are rather well thought out and reflective of the times. Many of the links represented on this page, cycle back to the above mentioned page. Thus, further proving, the ‘critics’ love the McAdams page as well.

This portal uses the art of photography to tell the full life story of our 35th President of the United States. The photos are a rather small thumbnail view interspersed with the text. If you would like a full screen version of the picture, click on the picture. There is not a large amount of information in this site. Basically, the text supports the pictures that it surrounds. But this is a great overview of his life and the road that brought him to the presidency and ultimately to his untimely demise.

This gateway is filled with information concerning everything JFK and his assassination. Many of the links are directly linked to the John F. Kennedy Library. There are full text and audio versions of many speeches and press releases. The home page states the full premise and beliefs of the webmaster/page creator. I find this to be helpful. One does not have to spend time trying to see what ‘angle’ the webmaster is portraying as ‘the one true answer’. It is very clearly stated. There are also links to photographic evidence from the subsequent investigation. Bullet pictures are linked directly from the National Archives. This lends an element of validity to this site that other sites may not have because of the linking to reputable sites outside the world of the conspiracy theorist.

This portal was accessed through The Way Back Machine due to it being a dead link on a previously accessed page. The author of this page was a high school student when this page was developed. It was last updated in 1997, but still has many worthy links and theories concerning the Kennedy Assassination. The page contains a nicely reconstructed timeline of events on the day President Kennedy was killed. Though the page was developed by a high school student, it is nicely done. This page can be used as an example to other high school students. This is an example of what a completed project can look like for an upper level American History project.
