    • The following skills are required:

       

      * 2 years+ Web User Interface / design experience
        * A mastery of HTML and CSS with focus on web-standard and cross-browser issues
        * Fluent in Javascript / Jquery / Prototype and other nice js libraries (moo.fx…)
        * Fluent in English and French (other languages are assets)
        * Able to meet deadlines and strong organisational skills

       

      The following skills are assets:

       

      * Knowledge of XML technologies (Xslt, Xpath, Xquery…)
        * Knowledge of PHP or other OO programming language
        * Knowledge of Version Control Software (CVS, Subversion…)
        * Experience with WorPress templating
        * Practical knowledge of Flash / AS2 / AS3

    • Front-end and back-end are generalized terms that refer to the initial and the end stages of a process. The front-end is responsible for collecting input in various forms from the user and processing it to conform to a specification the back-end can use. The connection of the front-end to the back-end is a kind of interface.
