  Brand new to Empire Avenue? Don’t worry! Follow our getting started guide to get you setup!

   

  I just sign up .. and have no idea what is going on…
• • Network with other people in my Industry
   
  • Connect with technical, web and seo people to help me with my website
   
  • Get number 1 spot in my city/country/world
   
  • Get a better/new job
   
  • Get advice from the best of each Industry- From Wine makers to CEO to musicians(all of whom have profiles on EA)
   
  • Get in touch with Venture Capital or Angel Investors
   
  • Increase awareness and sales of my songs/art/website/invention/business

• Make sure you connect your networks to your account. These social media networks will make up your ‘score’ on SE. You can add your accounts under the Home Button at the top and then select “Your Connections” in the Orange Bar. Follow the simple process to add your accounts.

   

  Only your top 5 scores will count. That includes the BLOG score that is currently not displayed with a Button. More about scores here.

• Make sure you change your photo from the default. Nothing says “I’m not coming back don’t buy me” like the stock ‘charlie brownish’ photo. Upload your lovely face, your company logo, or your dog… but change it from the default.

   

  Take a few moments and write a little bio

• Join Some Communities – City, Interest, Personal

   

  Now that your profile is coming together. Some people have probably already bought you… but we are not done yet! Select COMMUNITIES from the bar at the top. You can select 2 of each type to start.
• Add some Interests
• Finishing Touches – 100% Complete Your Profile

• One final stop to your profile. Click on Settings in the VERRRRRY top bar beside your Name and Money… And then select the “edit Profile” option. Complete your birthday, name, etc.

   

  ***Tip*** You also may wish to update your email settings under the NOTIFICATIONS link at the very top too. Otherwise you can expect a lot of emails.
• You are Now Ready to Start Networking and Buying and Selling!

• How to Invest?
• Remember when we set a goal as the first part of creating our profile? Depending on your answer to that goal is 100% going to determine what makes a GOOD investment to YOU.

• General Investment Ideas

   

  Here are some rough guidelines on “cracking the code”;

   
   
  • Spamming (self promotion of your EA link) of ANY kind is usually looked at negatively. Although you might see a short gain in a few other new members this strategy is generally frowned upon by the masses.  Do NOT spam in [x] bar, Investment Chat, General chat, or Newbie help. If you MUST spam do it in (duh) the “Buy Me” Spam Room Only.
   
  • People with higher numbers in the various scores who MAINTAIN or GROW their level of activity (What counts for activity? See here) are what you generally are looking for. In the first week, users numbers will fluctuate a fair amount. They may have question marks by their name which means the system is still figuring them out. Scores are not everything.
   
  • The ‘higher’ the .div share per day (where do i find this?)  compared to their share price… is generally how much you will make back. Depending on your “goals” this may or may not be important at all.
   
   

  Most of all.. REMEMBER YOUR GOAL.
