Incredible visualizations of world issues in map form
This is an interesting (if limited) vocabulary tool. People send in video definitions of words. Some are entertaining, and some memorable. Good for kids who struggle.

I got to this site from the games4change conference. It highlights educational games. This has all sorts of educational games about goverment. I played Branches of Power--pretty good.
Student Study Tools
This is from the National Archives. It has a collection of primary sources to use as well as ways to use them.
Good Revolution stuff for Grade 7, including a timeline activity that has kids put primary sources in order during the Pre-Revolutionary period. There is also an interesting pre-made activity on the difference in Civil War Recruiting posters.
