Left to explore a thousand ideas on our own, nothing changes. Guided to put one idea into practice is the only way to create change.
So after the big talk, I spent two days with 20 teachers and we took a couple of tools and became competent with them and developed lessons with them. We modified lessons they currently taught and updated them. There are many, many things we never discussed. But their classes will be changed next year. They were a great group to work with and they are committed to change.
Inefficient? Only twenty teachers and only a few tools? Not as inefficient as and eight-hour day with no classroom results. Show-and-tell time is over. Let’s make this real. erikpalmer.net
