The racial nature of Bhutika is a metaphor for how blinded we are by the notion of race. Race is not confined to the variables of skin tone. The term "white" to her is not associated with colour. It is but a term to coin someone who is bad. But through this story we can see that evil is not linked to race or culture. It is linked to prejudice.
