- My son absolutely loves this tool bench and tools. The drill is his favorite - it spins and makes noise just like a real drill, yet it is perfectly safe and doesn't do any damage no matter what he tries to "drill".

There is a nice variety of other tools, as well, and some fake wood pieces (made from sturdy foam) that fit together to build a birdhouse, airplane, and race car.

Putting the unit together wasn't easy, but it was worth it to see my son so happy to have his own tools and tool bench.

- We got this two years ago for our then 2 and 4 year old boys. Our kids actually don't play with this that much. Neither of our boys are "direction readers", they prefer to just build their own stuff using imagination. Being that there aren't a lot of pieces included to just build creatively with, it was kind of a flop at our house. I think we put all of the objects together once when we first got it and that's it. Our boys don't even use the tool bench at all...it just sits around and takes up space. We do however have the Home Depot tool box and they do like that. The boys like to put the tools into the tool box and carry them around the house fixing things. From a kids perspective I would say don't waste your money on this unless your child is big into organizing their work area. A tool box is way more intriguing to a young mind and the portability makes it all the better.

The quality of the set is decent, but nothing spectacular. It hasn't broken yet, but it also hasn't been played with a lot.
