For those of you who use iPads to teach (whether with individuals, small groups, or whole class sets) this is a great resource that changes ALL the time. It also includes apps for ELL/ SPEC ED that are fabulous!
That is amazing insite. I am looking forward to reading this article. I am going to start bringing in my ipad as a reward system for one of my autistic children. He does not need it to communicate, however, he loves to earn reward time. Now knowing how to change the settings that is even more helpful!!!

In your settings, enable the guided access. It will ask you to enter a four-digit code. Then, while in the app, press the home button 3 times and it will ask you to input the code. when you're ready to unlock it, do the same thing with the code you provided.

It takes some time at the beginning and end of the class, but sooooo worth it when you want to make sure they stay focused and aren't surfing the web or emailing friends :)
