US wants fast Uganda critic trial

By: BBC News, November 17, 2005 The United States has called for a fair and speedy trial for Ugandan opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye which does not affect elections due early next year. IIt says it is "deeply concerned" about his arrest and regrets the two days of riots in the capital that followed.
