I'm an Academic Technology Facilitator for an Independent School, and I support the 9-12 grades. I work with a great group of teachers, and I'm always on the lookout for more information and tools to share with them.
I use Diigo because I like the idea of accessing my favorite sites from anywhere, sharing sites with others, and BEST OF ALL, being able to highlight and sticky-note sites! I do hope that someday I'll be better organized with my collection - I started using Diigo and just threw things in here...

What Does It Mean to Be Well Educated? on 2009-10-11

Meier has emphasized the importance of developing five “habits of mind”: the
value of raising questions about evidence (“How do we know what we
know?”), point of view (“Whose perspective does this represent?”),
connections (“How is this related to that?”), supposition (“How
might things have been otherwise?”), and relevance (“Why is this
important?”). -
To be well-educated, then, is to have the desire as well as the means to make
sure that learning never ends.
