#Red inspires excitement and passion. It is an appetite stimulant, hence its popularity for dining rooms, and is a great color for rooms for socializing. #Orange also improves sociability. It has the same cheerful effect as yellow, but energizes like red. It is exuberant and lively, but balanced, and evokes feelings of ambition and enthusiasm. #Green, the color of nature, is restful. It encourages peace and harmony, is suggestive of plenty, and has been shown to promote health. #Blue, also a nature color, is a suppressor of the appetite. It has a tranquil, sedating effect, and so is a good choice for bedrooms. #Black adds drama and mystery. It suggests elegance and formality (think black tie) and connotes intelligence and seriousness. #Clean white suggests purity and goodness.
