CeLC 2009 Common Knowledge Lab
We were inspired by other e-learning and new media events to offer more ways for delegates to network and engage with the themes and questions we hoped that this gathering would tackle. We've set aside a series of small rooms for the 2009 CeLC Common Knowledge Lab. Visit room 264 in the Irving K. Barber Learning Center (IKBLC, see map) to find out how to get started and connect with colleagues.
Post a skill, talent, or lesson that your willing to share. Don't be afraid to venture outside the e-learning box. You can share your scrumptious orange marmalade recipe in exchange for learning how to include RSS feeds in your online course.
Other examples:The CeLC 2009 Common Knowledge Lab is based loosely on the “Bank of Common Knowledge” (BCK) modeled by events such as Zemos98. “BCK is organized as an open source model of knowledge transfer, a laboratory for inventing and trying out new forms of production, education, organization and distribution, involving new roles for producers and receivers, experts and amateurs, teachers and students…the main objective of BCK is to apply the positive effects and strategies of the free software movement and p2p systems to the areas of education and citizen participation, setting free the full potential of individuals and collectives through self-determination, autonomy and infinite networking.”
