XHTML 101 Certification Exam
This exam is intended to be difficult and most people do not pass on their first or second attempts. It is the exam that corresponds to the XHTML 101 class on the About.com Web Design / HTML site. Some questions refer to information provided in that class. There are also some questions referring to other aspects of Web development beyond strict XHTML. If you are having trouble passing the exam, I recommend you sign up for the XHTML class or review the online syllabus.
1. There are 60 questions on the exam, please answer every question to the best of your ability.
2. Every question has one or more correct answers. No partial credit will be given.
3. Unless otherwise specified, every question is referring to XHTML 1.0 strict.
4. You must receive 80% correct or higher in each section-type to receive a level 2 certificate and 85% or higher overall to receive a level 1 certificate.
5. You may take the exam once a day.
6. You may retake the exam as often as you like.
7. Do not hit the back button in the middle of the exam.
8. If you do not fill in a valid email address, you will not receive a certificate.
9. Certificates are recorded online.
10. If you are caught cheating, giving away answers or answer sheets, or otherwise acting in a dishonest fashion, your certification will be revoked. All decisions are up to the instructor, and are final.
