What Browser? - Home

A few of us at Google created WhatBrowser.org to help teach people about web browsers. We wanted to show people that they have a lot of choice in browsers, since we noticed that most people were using the browser their computers came with.

Adobe® BrowserLab

Adobe BrowerLab gives you the ability to preview and test your websites in multiple browsers and operating systems. Since building a website to be cross-browser compatible is one of the more annoying aspects of web design, this should be a valuable web app to all of us.

Bookmarklet Coding › Left Logic

if you want your bookmarklet to work in all browsers, it has to adhere to length limits:
* IE 5 - 2084 bytes
* IE 6 - 508 bytes
* IE 6 SP 2 - 488 bytes
* IE 7 - 2084 bytes
* Firefox + Safari - > 2000 bytes
IE6 has the smallest length, and that includes the javascript: pseudo protocol.

Run IE8/IE7/IE6, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera from the web

In my opinion, Xenocode Browsers is the ultimat tool for checking your website in different browsers. Xenocode Browsers allow you to lauch IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, Google Chrome and Opera directly from the web. The only weak point: The service isn't available for Macs and GNU/Linux powered PCs.
