"It was a long but wonderful day! I woke up very early to catch my train from Brussels to London and arrived just in time. The room was already full of security guys, some well known faces and new ones. Let’s grab some coffee, some muffins and my bag full of goodies. Ready for the talks! The venue is nice, there is a good Wi-Fi coverage."
So, as promised in yesterdays preview, what follows is the report of my first day at Black Hat Europe 2011.
This year at RSA 2011 the conference has made things a little easier. Rather than lugging around a large printed schedule (which they still provide) they now have an app.
Getting to ShmooCon each year is always challenging (as is trying to get home). Mother Nature seems to enjoy disrupting the travel to and from the conference, which is held in Washington, D.C in January or February of each year. Despite the weather issues, I've always found it to be a conference worth attending.
Looks like the first half of 2011 will be pretty busy. Here are the events that have been confirmed so far:
CPDP 2011 - Computers, Privacy and Data Protection is a three-day conference organised by academics from all over Europe, which has the ambition of becoming Europe’s most important forum for academics, practitioners, policymakers and activists.
