DevFaqUserDir - NetBeans Wiki
What is the user directory, what is in it, and why do I need one?
TkDocs
This site is here to supplement the existing documentation available for Tk, especially focusing on the newest innovations found in Tk 8.5 and beyond. While not yet fully complete, there's already a very significant amount of very helpful material here (notably the tutorial), with more still being added. It would be a great help if you could have a look around, provide any comments, corrections or suggestions, or even help fill in some of the missing pieces.
[NetBeans]: Setting up small freeform project correctly - what are all these settings for?
-
Freeform is a NetBeans project type that allows you to use Ant build script supplied with your sources. Typical usecase can be that you have already some sources, you are developing them "in you own way" (other IDE, or using VI, or...) and you want to work on them using NetBeans. Other common usecase for free-form can be that you check out some opensource project and you want to work on it in NetBeans IDE.
jConfig - (use XML files for property information)
-
jConfig is an extremely helpful utility, arming the developer with a simple API for the management of properties. Parts of the implementation are based on the idea that Properties, from Java's perspective, are a good thing, but can be better. jConfig employs the use of XML files for storing and retrieving of property information. The information can be stuffed into nice categories, which makes management quite a bit simpler. The ability to load from a URL is also a nice feature. It allows for a central repository where multiple instances of jConfig can read a single file.
Hecl - The Mobile Scripting Language
(based on Tcl, but smaller; implemented in Java)
How much does TCL cost? - comp.lang.tcl | Google Groups
(a cluster of antipatterns in the area of open source software libraries & their typical lack of good documentation)
